Ana Delia Reyes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ana Delia Reyes, a cherished friend, loving mother, and devout servant of God. Ana was born on April 8, 1942, in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, and spent her formative years in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, where she developed a deep love for her community and a strong sense of faith. In pursuit of new opportunities, Ana made the courageous decision to relocate to the state of Indiana, where fate introduced her to her beloved husband, Ramon Ortiz. They shared a beautiful union, marrying in 1961, and were blessed with four children: Leticia, Eliseo, Noemi, and Israel Ortiz. Ana poured her heart and soul into raising her family, instilling in them values of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. In 1970, Ana's spiritual journey took a profound turn when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. This transformative experience led her to relocate to Chicago, where she became actively involved in her local church community. Driven by her passion for serving others and spreading the message of God's love, Ana pursued further education at Ebenezer Bible Institute in Chicago. Despite the challenges she faced, her determination and steadfast faith saw her through, culminating in her graduation on November 26, 1977. She pursued her career in Psychology as a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Family services and at the same time she was called into her pastoral ministry where she served with joy as a Pastor at 1923 Lacross Ave in Chicago IL. At John 3:16 Pentecostal Church for 25 years retiring in 2012. Throughout her life, Ana exemplified the virtues of selflessness, humility, and devotion to God. She touched the lives of countless individuals with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of love and faith will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Ana Delia Reyes passed away peacefully on 02/13/2024 leaving behind a profound legacy of love, faith, and service. While we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her heavenly Father, where she will dwell in eternal peace and joy, along with her friends Lidia Contreras, Abigail Burgos and her other church family members that she will be having a great time from now on. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
