Annie Marie (White) Loser

Annie Marie (White) Loser, 69, was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of Charles James White and Nancy (Cage) White. She loved the Lord and was raised in the Catholic faith. She believed deeply in the power of prayer and would always pray for anyone in their time of need. She met the love of her life, Joseph Loser, affectionately known as "Buttercup," and they were married in 1973. They were married for 53 years and shared a total of 56 beautiful years together. They had a daughter, Jennifer (Loser) Ford of Peoria Heights, Illinois, who was Annie's best friend and shopping buddy. Annie also gained a son-in-law, Paul Ford, whom she dearly loved as her own. Annie was the proud grandmother of two grandsons, Anthony Wakeland (and his wife, Kelsey) of Edelstein, Illinois, and Brycen Ford of Peoria Heights, Illinois. They were her absolute pride and joy, and she truly cherished being their grandmother. Annie was also blessed with the title of great-grandmother to two beautiful great-granddaughters, Gentry and Miranda. Annie’s career was defined by her hard work and service to others. She worked as a CNA at St. Francis Hospital, at Bergner's department store, and at The Dinner Table restaurant. She also spent over twenty years at Perkins as a server and third-shift manager. Annie always watched over and took care of everyone around her. Through her many years in the service industry, she made countless lifelong friends and never forgot a name or a story shared by an old coworker. Annie deeply enjoyed holiday gatherings and birthdays. She was a talented cake maker and was famous for making the dressing and fruit salad for all the family holiday meals. Annie also loved to thrift shop with her daughter, Jennifer, and her sister, Tammy. They would spend hours hunting for bargains, only to finish the day splurging on an expensive steak meal at Texas Roadhouse. This tradition has since been handed down to her great-granddaughters, who now love to go thriting with "Grandma Jenn." Annie also looked forward to Bingo nights with her sisters-in-law, Theresa Joseph, Catherine Loser, and Mary Sampier. She might not have always won big, but she loved the quality time spent during those girls' nights out. Growing up in a large family of eight children, Annie naturally stepped into the role of caretaker for her seven younger siblings while her mother worked. When she married Joseph, she welcomed his large family into her heart as well. Her life was filled with love, happiness, and the joy of family gatherings. To know Annie was to know how incredibly tough and fearless she was. Working the third shift at Perkins, she witnessed things that would make a grown man cringe. She stood her ground against some of the meanest and biggest people in Peoria. Whenever someone brought trouble, guns, or knives into the restaurant, she would fearlessly tell them, "Get your ass out! I'm not cleaning up a mess from you all fighting in here." She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Loser; her daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Paul Ford; her grandsons, Brycen Ford and Anthony Wakeland (with his wife, Kelsey); and her great-granddaughters, Gentry and Miranda. She is also survived by her siblings: Tammy White of Creve Coeur, Illinois; Julie Beebe of Linn Creek, Missouri; Michelle Seibert of Amarillo, Texas; and her brother, Toby White of Milton, Florida; as well as many surviving nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Lee White and Charles James White; her brothers, Charles James White Jr., Kenneth White, and Robert White; her parents-in-law, Bernadine Loser and Clifford Loser; and her brother-in-law, John Loser. Annie will be truly missed, and nobody will ever be able to fill her spot. She was a true warrior who repeatedly fought her way back from the edge of illness just to have more time with her family and friends. Enjoy Heaven, Annie, and rest easy. You are fully healed and home with our Savior. We will watch over your Buttercup.
