Donald Dee Aultman

Donald Dee Aultman, known to many as Big Dee, joined his wife in Heaven on July 22, 2024, at the age of 80. He was born on June 14, 1944, and spent most of his life in East Peoria, IL. Don joined the United States Air Force in 1962 at the age of 18 where he served his country proudly in the Motor pool. He could fix and drive anything. Donald had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including building computers, RC racing, and watching NASCAR. Don cherished his awards he received for stock car racing, and loved to tell the stories about it. He also had a fondness for indulging in his favorite food, cold cut sandwiches, biscuits and gravy,fried chicken & Lloyd’s ribs. Family meant everything to Donald, He cherished his beloved wife, Wanda, who he met at Steak-n- Shake in 1968, and instantly fell in love. Married soon after that and celebrated more than 50 years of marriage. Sadly, Wanda preceded him in death in April of 2023. He was a devoted father, to his daughter, Heidi (Katie), and his son, Donald (Donny) (Amber). Never failing to protect and provide for them. He adored his grandsons, Austin (Katelyn), Aaron and Gage (Katelyn) And dearly loved His great grandchildren Paisley, Delainey , Erabella and Breckyn. He was happily awaiting the birth of Sebastian. In his free time, Donald would often be found watching his favorite TV shows, American ninja warrior, any Rocky movie and especially Westerns. He also had a passion for racing and could often be found cheering for his favorite drivers. Professionally, Donald was a skilled siding and window specialist, reflecting his dedication and expertise in his work. Emphasizing his attention to detail and commitment to providing quality service. Donald's witty sense of humor made him fun to be a round. His favorite phrase was “I paid a lot for that!” Don was proud to be a part of the Masons and the Scottish Right for many years. He had a heart filled with love for his family and friends. Additionally, he was a man of faith and found great solace in his relationship with the Lord. Donald Dee Aultman will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his loving children, grandchildren, and cherished family and friends.
