Evey Randall

In God’s Loving Arms Evey Randall, 81, of Peoria, Illinois, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at OSF Richard Owens Hospice Center. Born as Evey Rushing on October 14, 1944, in Lexington, MS, to the late Willie and Marrie Rushing, Evey was a 1961 graduate of Tchula High School. In October of 1966, she joined in marriage with her beloved Andrew Randall in Tchula, MS. Their union was blessed with two children, Gail and Michael. With a heart devoted to God, Evey accepted Christ early in life and walked in faithful service ever since. At Ward Chapel AME, she served tirelessly as a Missionary member and Stewardess, and in 2023, was called to serve as a Deaconess. She embraced each role with grace, compassion, and an enduring spirit of servantship until her health failed. Evey devoted over 30 years of service to OSF Hospital, retiring in 2006 as a Housekeeper Supervisor. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith touched countless lives. She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory her loving daughter, Gail (Terry) McCall of Metamora, IL; her devoted son, Michael (Lisa) Randall of Peoria, IL; her grandchildren Chantra (Victor) Moss of San Antonio, TX, Kenny Jones of Fort Worth, TX, Tyesha Randall of Houston, TX, Mykisha (Tiso) Griffin of San Antonio, TX, Larenzo (Alba) Coleman of Kansas City, MO, Charae Jackson and Makayla Jackson of Peoria, IL and Mi’chael Randall of Houston, TX, 16 great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends, whom Evey loved dearly. Evey has joined her parents and siblings, brothers James K. Rushing and Willie Rushing Jr., sisters Arlene Boone Williams and Jurie “Dent” Rushing, and her husband Andrew in her heavenly home. Her legacy of faith, family, and service will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. A “50 Shades of Purple” Memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Ward Chapel AME Church in Peoria, Illinois.
