Judie Forquer

Judith Ann Forquer (Judie) age 79, passed away peacefully at OSF St. Francis hospital, Peoria Illinois on August 17th, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Judie was born in Iowa City, Iowa in 1941. She was retired from OSF Healthcare. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters Linda Wilkinson, Louise Walker and Desiree Sewell. Survived by her four children Susan Koeppel (Bud), Mark Persich, David Persich, and Dorrie Hildebrand (Gary), grandchildren: Melissa Cecil, Mark Persich Jr.(Vanessa), Matthew Persich, Danielle Winkler (Brandon), Marty Persich, Molly Persich, Madison Persich, Nikolas Koeppel (Cassie), Caleb Hildebrand, Dalton Hildebrand, and Dylan Hildebrand, great grandchildren, Brooklynn Hardy, Cassidee Cecil, Jakoby Cecil, Marion Persich, Malakai Persich, Tess Winkler, Theo Winkler, Nora Winkler, Solana Gauna, Luna Gauna and one great-great grandchild Giovanni Brown. Her siblings Averietta Pace, Bob Sewell (Brenda), Becky Thornton (Wayne), Roberta Lipke Whitworth, David Crawford (Linda), Danny Crawford (Sandy), Robert Wilkins (Lila) and Tonia Miller. Her impact and touch on her family and lives all around her family was legendary. Words that would have been used to describe Judie and the life she lived are loving, patient, generous, selfless, and strong. These words don’t seem to suffice when describing just how special and important she was and still is after her passing. Judie was what you would call the “linchpin” of her family. Her children and grandchildren especially were her world. She was and still is a necessary and vital part of what holds her family together and we hope to carry on that legacy. She was known for her unconditional love and acceptance not only to family but the neighborhood kids and friends of the family. The truth was, if you needed her, she was there ready with an open heart and an ear to listen. It didn’t matter who you were or what your past was, if you were around with Judie, you were welcomed into the family with open arms, food to eat and Pepsi in the fridge. Judy will be dearly and wholly missed by all who knew and loved her, may her memory and legacy of that “selfless, unconditional, and patient” love be carried on through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and generations to come.
