Timothy "Tim" Ullom

Timothy “Tim” Ullom 62 of Washington, IL. passed away early Monday morning December 30, 2024 at Carle Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Il. Tim had finally lost his battle with cancer. He had been fighting for many years. He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Sabrina (Drew), son Joshua, 2 grandchildren Adrianne and Skylar, brother Duaine Ullom, 3 sisters in Florida, and a bunch of cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline, father Bill, and granddog Letty. Tim was born July 1st 1962 in Peoria, Il. He was raised in the East Peoria/Washington area. He went to Robein grade school then East Peoria high school for a short period of time. Tim graduated from Washington community high school in 1980. After high school Tim married Marcia Underwood. Shortly after he became a father in 1989. After some time things ended on a good note. A little later on he met Lisa, the two fell head over heels for each other. They were married October 13 2001. After everything Tim was the all time family man. He was the most amazing father. He was very involved in his children’s lives. For Sabrina he was her #1 fan, from grade school to the day he took his last breath. He always pushed her to do her best no matter what and raved about her baking. He enjoyed being the taste tester when she came up with new things. For Joshua it was the same. Tim became a troop leader for the Boy Scouts to spend time and to show his support for his son. The two enjoyed many things together from swimming, building things, to their video games. No matter what he showed his kids how much he loved them and how proud he always was. Watching him go from dad to dog grandpa to finally papa was magical. Adrianne and Skylar came into his life at a young age and he welcomed them as his own. Tim absolutely loved watching them grow up as Sabrina and Drew formed a beautiful family. Between his grandchildren and his granddogs he always had something to talk about. The love he had for them was one of a kind. Being a jack of all trades is something many can’t say anymore. He was talented at so many things but only mastered one, as in his passion for upholstery. His favorite thing to do was redoing bike seats and car interiors. Tim owned his own Ullom’s upholstery which was out of the white elephant. He worked many places from Tally Ho to Marcia’s Pizza, then Parsons to lastly the Par-A-Dice. He had found his last job doing what he loved, being their an upholster. Some of his work is in the Tin Lizzard, the hotel room, and all the chairs you may sit in at the Par-A-Dice. Lastly Tim was an amazing, relaxing, and calming person to be around. But on the other hand would still tease you and pull pranks, just to get a rise out of you. He was a man that liked a good laugh and if he knew you he’d talk your ear off. He was also just a big old teddy bear that will forever be missed and always warming our hearts with his memories. Tim will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held January 26th at 1 o’clock at the American legion in Washington, Il. Arrangements are through Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Service.
