James Vernon Hand SR, 63, of Peoria, passed away on December 28, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born on July 23, 1958 to Harold and Dorothy (St. Clair) Hand. He is survived by his son, Jim (Amanda) Hand; one sister, Valerie Duncan; three brothers, Harold (Noreen) Hand, Robert “Rusty” (Dianna) Hand, and Ricky Defreitas; six grandchildren, Isaac Moulton, Autumn Hand, Chloe Guerra, Kevin Johnson, Abigail Johnson, and Ryan Hand He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Melissa Hand. James enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing poker. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
