Janice Marie Hackett

Peoria- Janice Marie Hackett, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 13, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born in Peoria on September 06, 1941 to the late Gerald and Gaile Dailey. Janice is survived by her daughter, Diana (Kenny) Potter; son, Richard Hackett; grandson, Erik (Sarah) Hackett; great-granddaughters, Emma and Riley Hackett; and several nieces and nephews including niece, Julee Whitman, who was also a dear friend and held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Hackett; sister, Patricia Flener; brother, Bill Dailey; and sister-in-law, Janice Dailey. Janice was the dedicated owner and operator of Jiffy Courier for 37 years and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She loved her family, her dogs, and gambling- which was her favorite pastime. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial will be held at a later date. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
