Pat L. Bentley

East Peoria – Patrick Leo “Pat” Bentley, 68, of Pekin, formerly of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Timber Creek Rehab and Health Care in Pekin. He was born on November 16, 1952 in Peoria, a son of Wayne G. and Teresa E. (Scovil) Bentley. He married Deborah J. Cassidy on September 24, 1996 in Las Vegas, NV. She preceded him in death in 2016 in East Peoria. Pat was also preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Thomas Bentley. He is survived by two step-sons, Robert Emmons of LaSalle, CO and Jeremy “Jake” (Tina) Emmons of Pekin; four grandchildren; brother, Donald (Jackie) Bentley of Peoria; and sister, Kimberly Bentley of Lebanon, TN. Pat was an assembler for Caterpillar, Inc. in East Peoria, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the UAW Local #974. Pat was a singer in a rock and roll band for many years and was of the Catholic faith. Pat’s celebration of life gathering will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Schmidt-Haller Burial & Cremation Services in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PAWS or the Alzheimer’s Association.
