Ryan S. Cramer, 43, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a silence that will never quite feel right to those who loved him. To know Ryan was to have a story about him — usually hilarious, sometimes unbelievable, and always unforgettable. He was wild, funny, loud, loving, and completely one of a kind. A true legend in his own way. Ryan lived life on his own terms. He had the soul of a hippie, the heart of a loyal friend, and the energy of someone who could turn an ordinary night into a memory people talked about for years. He loved music more than almost anything — whether it was Phish, moe., the Grateful Dead, Tupac, Eazy-E, Biggie Smalls, or Wu-Tang Clan blasting somewhere nearby, music was part of who he was. If Ryan loved you, chances are he made you listen to a song that reminded him of you. Underneath the jokes, the partying, and the larger-than-life personality was someone who deeply loved his family and friends. He showed up for the people he cared about in his own unique way, and his presence could light up a room instantly. He wasn’t perfect — and he’d probably laugh at anyone pretending he was — but he was real, genuine, and deeply loved. Ryan is survived by his mother, Stephanie Daugherty; his father, Melvin Daugherty; his sister, Sara (Daugherty) Anderson and spouse Justin Anderson; his nephew, Brady Anderson; cousins Gabrielle Hardesty, Chloe (Hardesty) Cinfio, Lilliahna Taylor, and Lucciano Hall. Ryan leaves behind countless friends who became family over the years, and a lifetime of stories that will continue to be told with laughter, tears, and probably music playing in the background. He was the kind of person you never fully get over losing. The world feels a little less colorful without him in it. Though our hearts are broken, we know Ryan would want us to keep laughing, keep the drinks flowing, keep the music loud, and keep living fully. Rest easy, Cramer. Your legend lives on.
